CURRICULUM
DESCRIPTION ABC Music & Me, an award-winning music enrichment
program for 2 to 6 year olds, was designed for early childhood learning centers, but can also be taught in a Kindermusik studio. Features - New
unit theme for each month
- Each monthly unit contains four lessons—45 minutes in
length (for our studio)
- Fourteen monthly units for 2 to 4 years old
- Twelve monthly units for 4 to 6 years old (two additional units in development)
- Up to ten children in class, with accompanying adults for 2-4, without adults for 4-6
- Taught like a regular Kindermusik class, with additional option of a hosted CD.
A Glimpse Into the Classroom Experience - Songs and rhymes to develop phonetic awareness and early reading skills
- Tapping,
clacking, and ringing rhythm instruments in time with music to improve hand-eye coordination
- Focused listening with music to improve skills in following directions
- Instrument
play to strengthen fine motor skills
- Developmentally-appropriate songs to develop vocal
chords and expressive speech
- Learning that emphasizes storytelling, imaginative play,
and taking turns
Home Materials The ABC Music & Me Home Kit contains a variety of age-appropriate literature, activities,
and games—all tied to the class content. If it’s sharing a story from class, or singing together—the Home
Kit keeps the parents involved if they’re not in class every week. - Home CD—contains all the songs, rhymes, stories, and sounds heard in class
- Magazine-style Family Guide—includes the story from class, activity pages, parent notes showing what the children
learned in class, and can-do tips to continue the fun and learning at home
- Age-appropriate
instrument—included every other month

are resuming Imagine That! classes (for 3- 5 yr olds) as a bridge between Our Time and Young Child.
The ABC units will be used as filler units during
the year and as summer camps.
