What is Kindermusik? Kindermusik is many things. It is an opportunity for musical learning. It is an opportunity for physical, emotional and intellectual development. It is an opportunity to create a new bond between parent and child. It is an opportunity to strengthen the family through wholesome activities and the sharing of them. Kindermusik is all of these things. For more than 25 years Kindermusik International, based in Greensboro, NC, has been searching for and training educators to nurture the development of very young children through music. There are more than 5,000 licensed Kindermusik educators throughout the U.S. and 65 other countries around the world whose main goal is to stimulate the emotional, intellectual, physical and social growth of the children in the one million families that they serve. Current research supports brain development, spatial reasoning and the development of gross and fine motor skills greatly benefit from exposure to music at an early age. The Kindermusik environment addresses the total child in a community of acceptance and offers the child freedom to learn at his own pace.
